Vectrix Electric

Australian customers can now purchase the Vectrix Electric scooter.

Vectrix Australia

The future has arrived in Melbourne with the launch of the first truly green vehicle – and one that doesn’t require peddling.

From today, Australians can purchase the high-tech Electric Maxi Scooter from Vectrix.

More like a sports motorbike than a traditional scooter, the Vectrix cruises at up to 100km/h and can travel more than 110 km on a single change. The whisper-quiet bike can accelerate to 80km/h in just 6.5 seconds.

The Italian inspired, European built zero-emission scooter has taken the world by storm.

“The Vectrix combines classic good looks, performance and environmental benefits,” said Vectrix Australia’s marketing director Charles Mann.

“Customers no longer have to compromise quality or performance if they want to help the environment.”

An average commuter would require just $45 worth of electricity each year to power a Vectrix.

“And if you purchase Green Power this means you have a truly zero emission vehicle,” said Mann.

The Vectrix is a sophisticated high tech machine.

“To improve the bike’s efficiency, it features a regenerative braking system, meaning the bike’s battery recharges when the riders slows downs. The system means that unlike any other bike it has reverse.

“There is no better way to commute,” said Mann. “The Vectrix is the ultimate way to travel in the 21st Century, comfortable quick, cheap and environmentally responsible.”

Refuelling” the Vectrix is simple – just plug it in to any regular power point. A full charge takes just two and half hours but even a quick charge will help.
“And with no gears and no clutch, the Vectrix is simple to operate and requires virtually no maintenance, meaning green motoring has never been so easy,” says Charles Mann.
