New scooter model release Bug ZX 50 Bug officially announces new 50cc Bug Vibe
Darryl Flack Bug Scooters has launched the all-new Bug Vibe to strengthen its domination of the 50cc scooter market in Australia.
The Bug Vibe will be a welcome addition alongside the popular 50cc Bug Jive which is the number one selling scooter in Australia, according to official industry figures.
The new Vibe has a recommended retail price of $1999 plus on-road-costs, and features sleek styling, an efficient 50cc two-stroke engine and a fully automatic CVT transmission.
It also boasts ample underseat storage space, push-button electric start, lightweight 12-inch alloy wheels and an alloy rear carry rack.
“The introduction of the Vibe offers buyers more choice in the 50cc market,” said Peter Lynch, managing director of Bug Scooters.
“The 50cc segment marks the all-important entry level for many first-time scooter buyers in Australia, and we believe the Bug Vibe will play an important role in attracting more people to the scooter market.
The Bug Vibe will be available in five different colours and comes with a 12 month warranty.
“Bug Scooter’s success has been built on offering a range of reliable, highly affordable scooters and the Vibe will build on that reputation which Bug has earned amongst its customers.”
Bug Scooters are available through 55 dealers around Australia.
The Bug range of scooters features 10 models from 50cc through to 250cc.
Mr Lynch said that he will be launching two more new Bug Scooter models in 2006.
The Australian scooter market, which enjoyed 30 percent growth in 2005, grew a massive 64.4 percent nationally in the six months to June, 2006, as spiraling fuel prices force more and more people to re-consider their transport options.
“In addition to having the number one selling scooter in the country with the Jive, Bug Scooters also moved to second overall in the national scooter market for 2006 and are now number one in Queensland, which is very pleasing,” said Mr Lynch.
