Townsville to Mackay Day 14 - Ride for Autism Early start as we head for the Saturday Markets in Mackay.
Chris Newbold Saturday the 15th of March we headed back to Mackay, a quick ride from Bowen it was only 187km, but we had to be in MacKay by 7am to set up in the local Saturday markets. Which meant we had to get up at 3.30am; these early starts are starting to take a toll on us all!
We spent the morning doing our thing handing out autism information and getting as many signatures that we can. We met a few of the local autism support group at the markets as well as the local media, the charming young media reporter enjoyed going for a ride on the V3.
Kirk and Paul headed down to Jeff’s Bikes and Bits where they checked over the bikes and were doing some running maintenance on them. Thank you to the guys in the shop for helping out. The Arqin 125 sprint scooters are going well we have really given the bikes an absolute hiding, it really shows that these bikes are of a high quality.
The new Arqin V3 has not missed a beat this is also a very impressive bike and is worth having a look at so get down to your local Arqin dealership and have a look.
The lions club supplied us with lunch and they gave us a generous donation which is greatly appreciated. Then we headed back to the van park for some much needed rest.
Remember that you can make your tax deductible donation to any ANZ bank to THE RIDE FOR AUTISM.
We also like to thank Mal at South Coast Motorcycles in Albion Park Rail NSW. Who has been a big supporter of the ride for autism right from the beginning thanks Mal you’re a champ
