Maryborough to Brisbane Day 17 - Ride for Autism Making our way back south, today we arrive in Brisbane.
Chris Newbold The Greenslopes shopping mall was on the agenda today Tuesday 18th march. We headed out of Maryborough at 5.30am and headed down the Bruce Hwy. we made good timing arriving almost an hour early even though we hit a little bit of rain.
On arrival I was greeted by my older sister who I have not seen in a lot of years it was wonderful to see her. We set up in the shopping centre with the lions club and we meet Keith Ledger who help us organise today’s event. Thank you for your help today. Everywhere we go the lions club are so wonderful. Also I would like to say thanks to Elaine Richards-inglis, manager of Greenslopes mall for allowing us into the shopping centre.
We had a good day, talked to a huge amount of people about autism and the stories were still coming thick and fast about peoples misfortunes with lack of services and support.
Kirk and paul headed back out to see one stop cycles at browns plains to pick up some equipment and then we all headed out to see Chris Holder at ”I Scooter”. Chris had a look at the bikes had a few photos taken then we headed back to the Gateway Village Resort at Rochedale who gave us accommodation for the night. Thank you so much for your support.
We also have to say thank you to the Queensland roads and traffic at the Greenslopes mall for making a donation it was greatly appreciated.
Tomorrow we go to Tweed Heads shopping mall this will be great only an hour ride.
