Brisbane to Tweed Heads Day 18 - Ride for Autism Great day for a short run on a scooter.
Chris Newbold We had a short run today Brisbane to Tweed Heads 19th of March. I think everyone was pleased to have an easy day on the bikes. Until we hit the M1 freeway NOT a good place for scooters. Four lanes of traffic with trucks moving passed us pretty quick, the bikes get blown around every time a truck passes us. But when two trucks pass on either side of us it becomes a bit of a night mare.
We headed to the Tweed Heads Centro shopping centre where we set up at 9am. Thank you to the centre management for allowing us to be there. We met the lovely ladies at the Darrell Lea shop in the shopping centre who supplied us with a wonderful hamper.
We also went down to the Firestorm Motorcycle shop where the most wonderful bunch of ladies and men from the lions club were running a BBQ. I sat and talked to
Marion and Judy who are two off the most beautiful women I have ever met and there kindness and generosity is truly amazing.
Kirk even took one of the ladies for a ride on the V3.
Sam Hurley who is the dealer for Arqin come out and met us and performed an oil change on the bikes. And had some photos taken, and then happily took the V3 for a test ride.
We are staying at the Tweed Billabong Holiday Resort. This is a beautiful park very friendly management and a swimming pool area any kid would love to visit. Thank you for looking after us.
Tomorrow we are going to Grafton.
