Another great advantage of new People S 250 is its excellent frame. Made up of two double superposed cradles, this gives the People S 250 excellent stability and dynamic behavior either on the highway or in the city.
A good chassis is nothing without an effective power plant. Enclosed is a liquid cooled, single cylinder, SOHC 250cc 4-stroke, 2-valved engine that is found in other KYMCO scooters with a few important improvements such as an increase in the compression ratio, changes in the crank and bearings plus a new CDI.
All this, allows the People S 250 to develop 15.9kW of power at 6,750 rpm and 21.8 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, propelling the scooter to a top speed of 135km/h putting it amongst the top scooters in the 250cc class.
The equipment list is also class leading, with double halogen headlights and LED tail lights, ingenious fuel filler location, under seat lighting and a 12 volt power socket for accessories. There is also a comprehensive, part digital dash, a multi-function key switch which operates the ignition and opens the seat, sports styled screen up front and a baggage hook.
While there is no official news that this model will be gracing our shores, it would surely shake up the 250cc market.
