Scooter News Channel 7's Matthew White Scoots Around Town On A Honda Channel 7's Matthew White is one of Australia's premier sports presenters, and although some might think he prefers to get around town in a flashy sports car, his latest choice of transport is a new Honda SH150i scooter.
Honda Australia (MPE) Matthew recently attended a motorcycle Learner's Permit course at Honda Australia Rider Training (HART) in St Ives, NSW where he passed his written and practical exams with flying colours.
Matthew picked up his new ride straight away saying he was looking forward to the convenience and environmental benefits of getting around the streets of Sydney on two wheels.
"I was really impressed with the HART course and it was such an enjoyable day," said the well known motorsport presenter.
"Even though I have been on the roads for years, I found it extremely valuable to refresh my skills."
"I tend to work unusual hours, so the Honda scooter will be fantastic to get around on."
The SH150i is designed to appeal to all types of riders and features unique styling including 16 inch wheels, a wide floorboard that offers taller riders ample leg room, and a matching 35 litre top box to compliment the existing lockable storage area beneath the seat.
Honda's latest scooter also features cutting edge technology in the form of a catalytic converter that minimises harmful emissions, as well as combined disc brakes to provide an ideal balance of confident control for those less experienced riders.
It is an excellent first ride for White who has had a swift rise to fame. His credits include a stint in radio as a breakfast news presenter followed by television work as a presenter for Sports Tonight where he covered many major events.
White joined Channel 7 in 2004 and now acts as the sports anchor with Sydney's Seven News, as well as hosting and commentating for V8 Supercars, the Olympics, Australian Open Tennis and Rugby Union test matches, as well as the Melbourne Cup.
