Scooter News Honda DN-01 Motorcycle or Scooter? Like the Aprilia Mana has this Automatic motorcycle concept got something to offer?
Motociclismo Starting to do the rounds on European websites are first tests of the new Honda DN-01.
Subjective in its own right the Honda has a style that will separate immediately the lovers from the detractors. This "Automatic " motorcycle certainly bears the ride ability of a large scooter yet gives the appearance of a sleek yet large motorcycle.
There is obviously more to it then that but will these "Auto" Motorcycles like the Aprilia Mana cut a new segment for themselves in the marketplace?
We will have to wait and see but for now the Honda DN-01 is certainly a mammoth motorcycle in it's own right and here we have a great gallery of the DN-01 from every angle but better still actually on the road and out of the studio.
We may actually see the DN-01 land on Australian roads with Human Friendly Transmission (HFT) and a powerful yet smooth V twin power plant.
It's low to the ground but weighs in at a massive 270 kg so slow maneuvers will be a chore but once up and running the DN-01 should carve through the air quite sweetly especially with the aid of the aerodynamic front end.
Automatic Motorcycles or just Scooter Derivatives? I think the answer lies in the eyes of the beholder!
