Media Release Honda scooters – What’s new? Honda were on hand in Sydney with three new models, one which we have yet to see in Australia
Allen Drysdale Honda displayed four new models the Forza X, the 600 cc Silverwing, the Zoomer and surprisingly the SH150i. The Forza and Silverwing we had previously seen in Melbourne recently, updated news is that the Silverwing will be in dealers in the very near future with a recommended retail of $12990 plus on road costs. As for the SH range of scooters, these are one of the more popular scooters in Europe as it has that slim design, 16 inch wheels and a powerful yet low capacity fuel injected engine. Expect the SH150i to launch somewhere around the $5500 to $6000 dollar range.
”The SH150i is the epitome of today's modern day scooter, winning instant praise for its distinctive styling and superb ride qualities. Combining the riding manners of a slim and stylish scooter with a 16-inch 'big wheel' chassis plus the quick, clean and powerful performance of Honda's most advanced small-displacement liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine the nippy SH150 becomes a real traffic-buster.”
Don’t expect the SH150i on sale to soon as it is still going through the obligatory Australian compliance processes.
Looking like nothing more than a seat and handlebars attached to a pair of wheels, the new Zoomer’s stark minimalist design conceals a host of technological advances that make it a quick and dependable runabout. The Zoomer yet to be confirmed or prices set, more on this one at a later date.
