Media Release Yamaha scooters – what’s new? Yamaha, the art of living.
Allen Drysdale Yamaha focused on their Art of Living theme and introduced to Sydney the Maxum 250 which we had previously been seen in Melbourne, but the surprise was the C3.
The C3 is a quirky 50 cc scooter that was released at Intermot recently. With a huge storage area under the seat this large 50 cc scooter looks every bit like it could traverse the urban jungle with ease.Chunky in its appearance it has a liquid cooled 50 cc motor, rounded rear end and a cool single headlamp up front.
The Maxum though still has a unique appeal for those wanting a scooter design that says I’ve arrived.
The Maxum and the C3 will both be on sale most likely at the end of the first quarter 2007.
Yamaha has eight models in its scooter range, many newly released and each aimed at a different customer.
- CV50A is the bargain priced, economical city runabout
- Vino XC50 and XC125 are a pair of retro cool roadsters with style to burn
- Aerox YQ50 is a boy racer sports model featuring liquid cooled engine, racing graphics and disc brakes
- BeeWee YW100 combines a punchy 100cc engine with funky bug eyed styling and cool colours/graphics
- Cygnus NXC125 is the sensible commuter choice with nimble footing and smooth four-stroke power
- Majesty YP400 is a motorway cruiser and capable two-up long distance tourer
- TMax 500 is the sleek twin cylinder sportster that surprises many car drivers with its performance and handling package
And because scootering is largely about style, Yamaha is launching a ‘Scoot in Style’ promotion at the Sydney Show.
Anyone who test rides a Yamaha scooter at a participating dealer will receive a cool scooter T-Shirt. Buy one and you will get a Yamaha scooter jacket.
