Scooter News ADVERTISEMENT SYM Citycom 300i Due in December 2008 the new Citycom 300i will be launched through a feat of endurance. How about riding to the middle of Australia and back just to prove what a good scooter it is?
Scootersales.com.au Select Scoota are so impressed with the performance of the Citycom 300i that an idea popped into the mind of one Tim Black from Select on just what he could do to prove the endurance, performance and reliability of one such machine.
Heading off to Innaminka a remote desolate town towards the centre of Australia Tim decided that he would perform the round 5000 km journey and record just how the Citycom performs.
Now some might say 5000 km's isn't that much but it sure is when you are doing most of your riding on bone jarring dirt roads and in the extreme elements of central Australia.
On the 11th of October Tim and the team from Select take off from their base south of Melbourne and head for the desert. Why?
Well Tim and Select have been so impressed with the new Citycom 300i that they think no job is too large for the large wheeled machine.
We will bring you all happenings over the coming days where Scootersales.com.au will be able to bring you a series of diary entries, photos and video of the mammoth task. So check back and see just what's happened.
Below see an intended route and check out the pictures and specifications of the first Citycom 300i to land in Australia which will be used for the event.
