Scooter News SYM - The adventures continue The adventure can now include you, and the dog of course!
Select Scoota After the huge success of the CityCom300i ride through outback Australia; the boys returned, recovered and thought, why not do it again!
We’re thinking that a little too much fun was had on company time but can’t argue with the achievement of the ride, the interest you all had in the adventure and whether or not the boys can back it up! And this year there’s a twist; we’re inviting you along.
Last time our National Sales Manager Tim, Service Manager Scott, his best mate Andis and of course Morph the dog (there’s always a dog!) took off a couple of months ago and road our gorgeous brand new CityCom300i to Cameron’s Corner and back. For those a little less familiar with the rugged outback than this crazy lot, Cameron’s Corner is where the border of the Northern Territory, New South Wales and Queensland meet – basically the middle of the outback on a scoota!
Travelling over 3,200km in just six days (1,150km on dirt), our fearless travellers tackled some of the toughest roads in Australia; corrugation, sand, bulldust and cattle grates – there’s been tall tales of disappearing into pot holes for hours at a time!
This time around we’re inviting an intrepid member of the public along; all you have to do is send an email to Tim explaining why you’re up for the challenge and what you can bring to the ride (you must be available mid August). We’ll supply the scoota and even send you home with some goodies however, you must be fully licensed, happy to write an article about the experience and up for roughing it with a lot of fun.
It won’t be the easiest ride you’ve ever done but we’re pretty sure you’ll have some tall tales to regale for years to come. One more thing, just to keep it more interesting the scoota’s a surprise, you won’t know what you’re riding until a few weeks before.
Email Tim on timblack@scoota.com.au - entries close mid July 2009
