Scooter News Kymco Downtown 125/300 New commuter for Kymco launches in Europe with an all new 299 cc engine/transmission package dubbed the G5.
Pics by Motoblog.it The Kymco Downtown looks set to be a popular model for the Taiwanese Scooter Manufacturer.
The Downtown available in both 125 and 300 models has certainly been tuned for the European Market where commuting on a scooter reigns supreme.
The big news here is that Kymco have developed an all new motor and transmission for the Downtown, the G5. Running 4 valves, fuel injection and a 299 cc capacity the Downtown 300 outputs an impressive 24 Kw of power.
Other features include 2 full face helmet storage, spring loaded seat and a 5 in 1 multi function key that operates different areas of the scooter. A 12 volt charger is located in a handy glove box up front whilst the dash contains a tyre pressure warning system.
Disc brakes with the option of ABS, 5 way adjustable suspension on the rear and dual halogen headlights all means that Kymco have really sat down and thought this one out.
