Eicma 2009 Agility RS Naked 2t A new aggressively styled sports scooter for the masses
Scootersales.com.au The new Kymco Agility RS Naked 2 stroke follows the strategy of “worldwide scooter” and maintains the character of the original “Agility” series models. The Agility RS Naked uses a naked, motocross style metal handlebar to enhance the aggressive, sporty character and the new handlebar also makes Agility RS Naked lighter, faster and easier to ride.
Following a ‘minimum parts for construction’ ethos, Kymco is working to reduce the burden of energy consumption and follows the strategy of “Clean Earth”. Kymco’s strategy is also reducing the client’s fiscal outlay; Agility RS Naked adopts this new design strategy of “Minimum parts construct” to create a double-win between customer and supplier by reducing the number of parts being manufactured as well as reducing the number of man hours required for assembly.
The new Agility RS Naked has a multi layer metallic paint coating, to accentuate the youthful, sporty styling. The colour range includes: black, pearly white, vivid red, and orange. These new colours are complimented with sporty front and side graphics.
The new multi-function dash assembly is one of the highlights of this face-lifted Agility. The hi-tech twin circle gauges display the RPM and speed as well as fuel indicator, trip and odometer. The ADJ/MODE rubber buttons mounted at both sides of the instrument allow the user to reset the trip meter and clock, and there are indicator lamps for high beam, oil warning, and direction indicators.
Aggressive and unique styling of the headlight unit is the signature of the Agility, with highly effective twin PHILIPS HS1 35 Watt bulbs. The low and high beam bulbs mounted in a central, vertical configuration maximises luminescence improving the safety for night riding. The two park lights that are mounted on both sides of the headlamp enhance the brightness. Durability and quality of light output of the headlamp unit is increased with the use of PC and BMC high reflective materials. The integrated rear light unit has a red brake lens and clear indicator lens. This unit uses amber colour internal mask lenses and cheap/easily accessed clear bulbs for the indicators.
