More from Piaggio......
Piaggio’s small, snappy town scooter, the Zip, will shortly be available in a 100cc displacement to further enhance the agility and manoeuvrability that have made it a benchmark in the compact scooter segment. Nimble, easy to use and park and good value for money with low fuel consumption, the Zip is an attractive scooter with trendy looks.
The Zip has undoubtedly been one of the bestselling Piaggio scooters ever.
With sales of over 600,000 units since it was originally launched in 1992, the Zip, a reference point in the compact scooter segment, has been hugely successful in Europe, especially with young riders and women.
The Zip 100 4T (4T stand for quattro tempi, four-stroke) is as manoeuvrable and easy to ride as the 50cc. However, it offers higher performance, makes it possible to carry a passenger and is excellent value for money. In fact the reliable 96cc air-cooled four-stroke engine delivers performance suited to travelling comfortably with a pillion and nipping through town traffic in pure Zip style.
The modern, eye-catching design makes the Zip 100 4T an extremely appealing vehicle.
The Zip’s styling gives it a strong personality, so it stands out immediately from all the little runabouts on any city street.
With its clean, simple lines and balanced dimensions, this is clearly a Piaggio scooter.
Small size notwithstanding, the Zip is very comfortable. The seat is easily adjustable to three different heights; this flexible touch makes the Zip a roomy, comfortable ride for riders of any size, including women and youngsters.
The Piaggio Zip 100 4T is a scooter with trendy looks, well-suited to town use because it is so easy to park and has such low fuel consumption (up to 53 km with one litre of fuel).
Both the Zip 100 4T and the Zip 50 4T are available in Dragon Red, Shiny Black and Cosmic Blue.
