Scooter News Revolution Scooters A company who made its name selling scooters on the Gold Coast. This month Revolution Scooters turns 12 years old.
Allen Drysdale
In 1998 the business once known as Scootopia started selling scooters on the busy Ferry Rd. In his first year of business owner George Rallis sold 13 scooters in total. Today the business known as Revolution Scooters sells over 250 scooters annually across two locations.
The business had been steadily progressing from 1998 right through to 2006. From 2006 to 2008 demand for scooters increased tenfold and its in this period that Revolution Scooters opened its 2nd premises at Burleigh Heads.
A true pioneer of scooters on the Gold Coast, Revolution now stocks only the best brands. Specialising in the sales and service of Vespa, Piaggio, Gilera, Hyosung, Kymco and LML.
Mr Rallis is a strong believer that scooters offer a viable alternative form of transport.
"Scooter ownership is inexpensive, on around $5 you can travel about 150 km's. For most people this is their weekly commute". he said.
"This is where scooters come into a league of their own. Registration is cheaper too at just $220 a year for a single seater."
"And Buyers can expect to pay anywhere from just $2000 for an entry level scooter on the road." said Mr Rallis.
To celebrate the 12 year milestone, this month will see Revolution Scooters holding a 12th Birthday Sale. A number of models across a number of brands have been reduced extensively just for the event.
