Scala Rider G4

Strike has recently welcomed on board its newest product range, the Cardo Scala Rider G4 Headset and the G4 Powerset.

Strike

The innovative G4 range redefines the notion of high-end communication for motorcycle helmets and is riding its way to transforming the Bluetooth industry.

The G4 features a unique 4-way communication intercom between two bikers and two passengers or 3-way intercom among three separate bikers. Multi device connectivity, including mobile phone, A2DP (Bluetooth stereo), FM radio with RDS, intuitive button controls, and wire connectivity to iPod/MP2 player makes the G4 the stand out device on the Australian and world-wide arena.

The Scala Rider G4 offers multilingual status announcements allowing bikers to maintain smooth and safe handsfree communication whilst on the move. The Scala Rider G4 Headset retails for an affordable $399 and can be purchased online at www.strike.com.au or at a Strike dealer in your area.

If you want to up the anti of the G4 then the G4 Powerset ($699) is for you. The G4 Powerset offers two factory paired Scala Rider G4 headsets in one package for immediate motorcycle use. Encased in a chic, streamlined body, the Scala Rider G4 PowerSet offers Bike to Bike intercom at a remarkable range of up to 1.6km.

Like the G4 Headset, the Scala Rider G4 Powerset comes with all of the same features, but allows for more power to talk with your fellow riders.

For riders who are concerned that their helmets are too tight, Strike recommends the corded microphones, which are also available with both Scala Rider units.

Another perk of the product is there’s no need to manually disconnect from the intercom or music to receive calls or GPS instructions as the built-in technology solves this completely.

Both the Scala Rider G4 and the Scala Rider G4 Powerset can be installed on almost all motorcycle helmets and all it takes is a convenient five minutes to install. Once installed, users can access the product’s software updates at www.cardoupgrades.com. Contact Strike’s team today to find out more, call 1300 792 044 to speak to a consultant.

G4 Features

  • Two/Three/Four-Way Intercom — the G4 allows four riders (two drivers and two passengers), three riders (three separate bikers) or two riders (rider-to-rider or rider-to-passenger), to conduct intercom conversations at distances of up to 1.6 km*. The headset offers full duplex (simultaneous talking/listening) capability as well as mobile phone call conferencing between riders, between rider and passenger, or with outside callers.
  • Multi-Device Compatibility — the G4 can connect with virtually any portable Bluetooth device including mobile phones, MP3 players and compatible GPS units (for in-helmet voice instructions). It can also connect with non-Bluetooth MP3 players and GPS units via its embedded jack, as well as the entire line of Scala Rider headsets.** Each G4 headset can be actively connected to one Bluetooth device and two other Scala Rider headsets at one time.
  • A2DP Stereo Music — taking advantage of A2DP, the latest Bluetooth stereo music transfer technology, the G4 can receive CD-quality music from any MP3 player with A2DP capability.
  • Built-In FM Radio with RDS and scan and seek features with six station channel memory.
  • VOX Activation allows users to make voice-controlled hands-free intercom calls as well as phone calls with answer; voice dial and call reject functions.
  • AGC Technology automatically adjusts the headset volume based on ambient noise and driving speed.
  • PLC Technology – provides improved audio quality in dense urban surroundings
  • Software Upgrades Download (requires Windows™ XP or Vista)
  • Spoken Status Announcements - multi-lingual in-the-ear announcements tell users to whom or to which device they are connected to.

“Cardo’s new Scala Rider G4 takes all the power of wireless communications and entertainment today, and puts it in one amazing package. There’s no Bluetooth headset on the market that revolutionises a biker’s riding experience like the G4.” says Chris Ryan, CEO of Strike – Cardo’s exclusive Distributor “This is our most exciting motorcycle headset yet — a breakthrough that can greatly improve enjoyment and safety for single riders or groups, passengers and drivers alike.”

About Strike

Strike was started in 2001 by young (at the time) entrepreneurs Adam Rockett and Chris Ryan who had a vision to create a business built on innovation both internally and externally. In true entrepreneurial spirit Adam and Chris didn't have a clue what they were doing at the outset, but through belief in themselves, a lot of work, some valuable hard lessons and a great deal of experience they both grew with Strike to become what they are today.

Strike now exports to over 79 countries worldwide, is the largest distributor of Bluetooth motoring technology in Australia and is one of the fastest-growing distributors of electronic products in the Asia-Pacific region.
