Honda chose the Catalunya Grand Prix to showcase the new, green electric EV-neo scooter. All dressed up in Repsol colours the EV-Neo will be the official paddock scooter for the likes of our Casey Stoner and the rest of the Repsol Honda Race Team.
The EV-neo has been developed by Honda for the local Japanese market (for now), and is squarely aimed to carry out local business duties. The EV-neo features a flat area on the rear for carrying bulky items, it also has a large flat floor so you can hop on and off easily. The EV-neo also comes in a PRO version which ups the rear carrying capacity and adds a front basket.
The EV-neo features a high torque electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery, which can be fully charged in just 30 minutes. The motor produces 2.8 Kw's of power in total, equivalent to most 50 cc scooters.
Having them run around the Moto GP paddock will prove that Honda has both ends of the spectrum covered. The ability to develop small eco-friendly scooters whilst also being at the pointy end of the Moto GP field by incorporating state of the art technology.
