Scooter News Worlds Longest Scooter Doing the rounds of the internet, the worlds longest scooter has been getting plenty of attention.
Allen Drysdale
After trying his hand at both a flame throwing scooter and building the worlds fastest mobility scooter, Colin Furze turned his sites on building the world's longest scooter. This one comes in at a whopping 22 metres.
At this stage it can only be ridden one up due to the frame needing to be reinforced. Something that's apparent in the pictures when the scooter is filled with passengers, visually you can see it requires a block to help with weight flex.
Directbikes is a UK importer of Chinese scooters, the model used to create the worlds longest scooter was the City Scooter. A 125cc model that retails for around 800 pounds in the UK (with top box!).
It's been reported the scooter takes a fair amount of room to turn, best to keep it moving in a straight line. It also takes a total of 3 people to move it around. All-in-all, what a fantastic publicity stunt for the importer, nearly 150,000 people have watched the video below.
In tests the City Scooter reportedly reached speeds of up to 35 Mp/h, though it does look unbalanced to say the least. Probably not one for the daily commute!
