Aprilia Finish 2011 on Top

Aprilia finishes 2011 with some impressive results

Aprilia

Aprilia Scooter

With the official 12 month industry data just released summarising the retail figures for 2011, Aprilia Scooters finished the year as the fastest growing European Scooter brand in Australia.

Delivering a 12.6% increase in 2011 compared to 2010, Aprilia Scooters has shown healthy growth in a scooter market which overall grew by 8.9% in 2011.

Kris Matich, General Manager for John Sample Automotive said “This is a very positive result for Aprilia Scooters and is thanks largely to having a product line which is diverse and well priced, but more importantly represented by a strong Dealer Network providing great service to our customers”.

“With the ongoing support of our Dealer Network our strategy for 2012 will be to continue delivering a strong product range with a number of new introductions expected midyear to replace outgoing models and further complement the existing range.”

Aprilia Road

With the official 12 month industry data just released summarising the retail figures for 2011, the Aprilia sports road segment finished up 8.3% in 2011 compared to 2010.

In a overall road market which grew by only 1.4% Aprilia’s performance is indicative of just how well the brand performed in 2011.

Kris Matich, General Manager for John Sample Automotive said “We are very pleased with this result which is particularly strong when you consider Aprilia has a very focused hi performance product range.

Although the overall result is very positive it could have been even better. Unfortunately, due to production delays on key models we had a number of customers opting to wait for 2012 plated stock which has just arrived.

With the growing strength of the national Aprilia Dealer Network we are confident in continuing to deliver a strong product range and sales results in 2012.”

Moto Guzzi Road

With the official 12 month industry data just released summarising the retail figures for 2011, Moto Guzzi finished the year as the fastest growing European Motorcycle brand in Australia.

Delivering a 37.7% increase in 2011 compared to 2010, Moto Guzzi has shown Impressive growth in a road market which overall grew by just 1.4% in 2011.

Kris Matich, General Manager for John Sample Automotive said “This is a fantastic result for Moto Guzzi and reflects how positive our new products, such as the V7 Retro and the Stelvio Adventure range have been accepted by the market. Although Moto Guzzi is still considered small globally, this result is a clear indication that we are trending positively, couple this with new model arrivals scheduled in 2012/13 and with the growing strength of the Moto Guzzi Dealer Network reaching further across Australia we are confident that these strong market results will continue in 2012.”
