Its Maxi Season - Suzuki Burgman 400

Responding to massive growth of the scooter market, Suzuki Australia has introduced the all-new Burgman 400 to expand its prestige scooter range.

Suzuki Australia

Focusing on the mid-large capacity end of the scooter market, Suzuki’s new Burgman 400 combines exhilarating performance, a comfortable ride and stylish design.
“The Australian scooter market continues to go from strength to strength and Suzuki is delighted to expand its range with the introduction of the Burgman 400.” Glyn Griffiths, National Marketing Manager – Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia, said.

“With a flood of product options in the 50cc and 125cc range, Suzuki has deliberately concentrated its attentions on catering to the market segment interested in mid-large capacity machines.”

Offering exciting performance, the Burgman’s 400cc liquid-cooled, DOHC 4-valve engine is designed to produce broad power with smooth, quiet operation and low maintenance.

An advanced electronic fuel-injection system provides easy starting, precise throttle response and reduced fuel consumption.
For highly efficient combustion, the fuel injector is mounted in the intake pipe and aimed directly at the intake valves, while the electronically controlled pulsed-air injection system (PAIR) helps reduce emissions.

The Burgman 400 features a belt-drive, fully automatic CVT transmission for smooth power delivery and ease of use.
A high-efficiency liquid-cooling system includes a thermostatically-controlled fan for constant engine temperature in all conditions.
Supporting the Suzuki’s powerplant is a high-tensile, underbone, steel-tube frame designed for strength and rigidity.

For unmatched rider comfort and control, the Burgman 400 is fitted with telescopic front forks with 41mm inner tubes, and link-type rear suspension featuring a single shock absorber with 7-way adjustable spring preload.
A 14-inch, five-spoke front wheel combined with dual hydraulic front disc brakes provides riders with improved stability and braking control.
Displaying a sporty new look with the latest style headlights, bodywork and tailights, the new scooter features a sleek, aerodynamic fairing and large windshield to provide excellent protection from the wind for enhanced rider comfort.

A stepped seat and easily adjustable backrest provide comfortable seating for both the rider and passenger, while concave floorboards offer rider and passenger plenty of legroom.
Featuring the largest storage in its class, the Burgman has an illuminated 62-litre under-seat storage compartment that accommodates two full-face helmets, plus a convenient front glovebox compartment with DC-electrical accessory outlet and two additional storage compartments to allow quick, easy access to smaller items.
The Burgman 400 features an easy-to-read instrument panel with analog speedometer and tachometer combined with LCD odometer, twin tripmeters, clock and fuel consumption readout.

Also included is a convenient parking brake with easy-to-use single lever operation and a tamper-resistant magnetic ignition switch cover for added security.
The newest addition to Suzuki’s scooter family joins the popular Burgman 250 and Burgman 650 models. The 2007 Burgman 400 is now available in Candy Red at an SRP of $9,490 (inc GST) plus on-road costs and includes Suzuki’s two-year unlimited kilometre warranty
