Scooter Review Bolwell(PGO) Bella 90 With retro styling and slipping under the 100cc insurance bracket, with Bella life is beautiful.
- The Bella is another in the Bolwell line-up targeted at women (like the Mia) with the “girls in skirts” tag-line. And it’s easy to see the appeal, with sweet retro styling and two-tone colours, chrome highlights on the classic headlight and round the speedo and practical features such as the open storage bin in front of your knees, luggage hooks and the lockable underseat space; not to mention the one-key set-up where the ignition key and the ignition lock control the seat latch and the steering lock as well as the ignition switch. The means there is no fiddling about with a lock under the seat or a lock on the fuel cap (which is under the seat any way).
The Bella uses a 99cc four-stroke engine with catalytic converter in the exhaust to clean up emissions. Fuel capacity is a handy 6.5 litres and the Bella accepts either standard unleaded or PULP.
Again the capacity is interesting for readers in NSW as there is a significant difference in registration costs once you get over the 100cc mark, so a 99cc engine, as well as offering good economy anyway, will save you money at rego time as well.
