Scooter News It's all for charity Arqin throws it's support behind a great cause.
Arqin Motorcycles Four burly Illawarra Steelworkers have resolved to ride motor scooters over 5,000km in a bid to raise money for a much misunderstood mental condition. They will be riding from Wollongong to Cairns and back to Wollongong over a three week period in March 2008 and will be stopping at 22 Towns/Cities along the way for their quest.
Chris Newbold, of Cordeaux Heights, whose five-year-old daughter, Courtney has autism, organised the event. Mr Newbold will be joined on the challenging mission by good friends and work colleagues Kirk Smith, Scott Brewer and Mark John.
Arqin has donated four Arqin Sprint 125 scooters to support this great event, as they were the first to step up and show their support of this great cause.
Autism is a developmental disorder characterised by delayed social skills, language disorders, resistance to environmental changes and repetitive activities.
Organisers plan to hold a number of fundraising events prior to next March's Ride for Autism.
