Scooter News Malaguti Centro 125ie/160ie Malaguti seals its future with a stylish large wheeled scooter aimed directly at the Italian market
Allen Drysdale Just released overseas from the Malaguti stable is the new Centro in both 125 and 160 displacements.
Both scooter displacements will be fuel injected bringing them in line with Euro 3 standards. Fuel Injection is most certainly the future and whilst it is a must for Europe with increasing pressure to stay in front of regulations in Australia we as yet don’t need to adhere to any emissions regulations of our own.
Back to the Malaguti Centro though and it runs some very nice touches like a 12 volt power adapter in the glove box, liquid cooling, flat open floor, bag hook as well as a ready made luggage carrier on the rear.
The Centro also runs disc brakes at both the front as well as the rear.
So all up the Malaguti Centro is a stylish attempt from the last family owned scooter brand in Italy.
Not sure as yet if we will see the Malaguti Centro in Australia or if it is even earmarked to join both the Password and Madison models here. Time will tell and in Italy the Malaguti will be ultra completive on price and right on the button when it comes to what the bulk of the market wants in a scooter.
In Australia large wheeled scooters like the Bug Orion/Espresso, Bolwell HD 200, Aprilia Sportcity/Scarabeo and not to mention the new Piaggio Beverley are all growing into practical transport solutions.
