Piaggio X Evo

New Piaggio caught doing the rounds of the internet

Allen Drysdale

Speculation is a plenty with talk of a new maxi styled scooter from Piaggio.

This photo courtesy of scooter-infos.com shows that the style of the maxi shares many of the lines that we see on a few Piaggio based models. As you can see it takes its rear from the X8 whilst the front looks to me anyway to replicate partially the Gilera Nexus. Whatever the case may be the new Piaggio has an updated sportier style then either the X8 or the current X9 could hope to compare.

Something different though is the motocross style front mudguard which gives it an aggressive stance from the front.

Instrumentation is said to be more like the X9 range with tachometer and speedometer rather then the current clock speedometer arrangements of the X8.

Said to be available in 125, 250 and 400 cc capacities we will have to wait and see what comes of this new creation.

Look out for more news on the X Evo shortly as the release date is said to be as early the end of May, in its home country of Italy of course!
