Scooter News Piaggio Ape Calessino Let's start the week with a trip back through time!
Allen Drysdale Like the years gone by Piaggio have released a limited (to 999 units) run of the now famous Ape.
The heavily visited tourist destination of Portofino was used for the launch and a tour will then commence around Italy to launch the stylish iconic three wheeler.
The Ape is now an icon around Italy and the globe and huge in India I might add. The Ape Calessino runs a 422 cc diesel engine and will reach speeds of up to 56 km/h.
The use chrome, wood and polished metals suits the nautical theme of which it was based.
Most of the Ape’s will most likely find themselves doing tourist duties but I just love the history behind these things.
