Honda Australia Honda Australia are very pleased to announce an exciting venture - rolled out nationally this week - that has been designed to specifically benefit new motorcycle customers. The “Honda Extended Warranty” range is completely unique to the industry, and offers products that will appeal to motorcyclists across the board.
With Swann Insurance providing the back-end administration for the program, customers will also have the added peace of mind that Australia’s leading automotive warranty supplier can offer.
Extended warranties are available for 12 and 24 months at the time of purchase only and are applicable to the majority of Honda’s road and scooter models, along with their trail and fun bikes.
The manufacturer’s standard warranties on motorcycles currently vary in range from 6 to 24 months.
“We feel that introducing an extended warranty is a great way to enhance the brand experience for our customers, and value add to our products” said Honda’s Brand and Product Planning Manager Phil Reynolds.
According to Reynolds, the availability of an extended warranty means added security and protection for the customer’s investment.
“Having the utmost confidence in our products is what allows us to make this offer,” he said.
Head of Swann Insurance, Stuart Chapman is also looking forward to the move. "Swann is extremely pleased to be partnering with Honda on this market leading initiative,” he said.
“Significant benefits will result from manufacturer warranty extensions for Honda, their dealers and most importantly, their customers".
The Extended Warranty program is considered to be a “natural progression” for Honda and Swann who are already involved with providing comprehensive insurance products for the Honda Riders Club of Australia (HRCA).
