Sportcity One 125

With the fully revamped 2010 Sportcity One range, Aprilia is introducing new accents and improvements for the most popular scooter on the metropolitan scene.

Aprilia sportcity one is the entry-level scooter born to zip around in town traffic: agile, comfortable, with a sports-like design, mid-sized wheels and ecological engines that offer un-compromised performance. The sportcity one and sportcity one street are thoroughbred urban mobility scooters.

Original and unique - for 2010, the stylish, markedly sports-like design of the Aprilia Sportcity One has been revised to enhance its rational, practical character. Aprilia's range revamp places the focus on those styling elements that made the high-wheel scooter from Noale a best seller.

Among the many new, stylish details that make the Aprilia Sportcity unique, worth mentioning are the sports-like stitched seat cover and the new exhaust heat shield. The Aprilia Sportcity One comes with a revamped look: its styling elements are now emphasised by hefty colours in keeping with the sporting character of this scooter. The instrument panel sports new graphics, and new wheel rims and new fork come in "gloss Black" for a sports-like, yet elegant look.

Aprilia Sportcity One is available in the 50 4 stroke and 125 4 stroke versions, plus a special Street version, with its classic 50 2 stroke engine. Sportcity One is the ultimate urban mobility scooter: while retaining the excellent quality/price ratio that made it an instant hit since its launch, it offers a new look and new features to keep up with ever changing trends and needs. Practical, safe and agile, the Sportcity One is the state of the art in sporting scooters, offering comfort, cutting-edge technology, latest-generation design and a contemporary look - all in one convenient, low-priced package.

With the Sportcity range, Aprilia explored a new high-wheel scooter concept and turned out a product that looks unique and combines safety, excellent performance and low running costs.

Safe, agile, capable of cutting through traffic with ease, Aprilia Sportcity One is ideal for urban commuters who feel riding comfort is a must. It is a cutting-edge product, available at an attractive price, with low running costs, that offers brilliant performance and top-range level of equipment in its segment. The three engines available (50 2 stroke, 50 4 stroke and 125 4 stroke) can handle any urban mobility needs.

Design: a true Sportcity

With its neat, yet distinctive lines, One is a true Sportcity.

Sportcity One is the ultimate solution for metropolitan traffic. It features the same advantages as a large scooter in a neat package that offers everything you need. The compact leg shield affords excellent protection; the broad seat offers plenty of comfort for the passenger while the red stitching of the new seat cover provides a sporting accent. The ergonomically shaped passenger grab handle features a stylish black finish, while the broad, flat footrest platform offers plenty of space and storage space for bulky objects.

Also new is the gloss back colour theme of the Sportcity One, with black accents everywhere, from the heat shield on the exhaust, to the number plate holder and the leg shield back plate up front, with a Sportcity One badge in full sight. The new graphics lend a racing look to the Sportcity One. The Aprilia logo stands out with its white lettering on a red background, right under the broad platform. The view from a side is impressive: this is one sporty, gritty scooter eager to tackle the metropolitan jungle. Another racing accent is found up front: the leg shield, with its contemporary-looking light unit reminiscent of the abstract cubist design, shows off the new racing-style engine capacity graphics on the sides, emphasising the ultra sports look of the new Sportcity One.

The focus is on rational design: the Sportcity One's chassis is a classical open cradle frame in high strength steel tube, also in the Street 50 2 stroke version. Thanks to careful engineering, this chassis delivers just the right amount of rigidity for unparalleled feeling and safety.

With 32-mm stanchions and 85-mm wheel travel, the hydraulic fork effectively filters out road irregularities.
As is typical with scooters in this segment, the engine-transmission assembly acts as a swingarm and operates an adjustable shock absorber. Wheel travel is among the largest in the segment at a generous 84 mm to smoothly handle the roughest road surfaces.

In keeping with its compact design, the Sportcity One fits large 14" front and rear wheel rims equipped with generously sized tubeless tyres (120/70 front and rear). Combined with the chassis, these wheels lend the Sportcity One unique handling and excellent stability, making it an easy, intuitive ride for everyone. A 220 mm front disc brake gripped by a two-piston floating calliper - aided by a reliable 140 mm rear drum brake - provides extra sharp braking.

With two modern, ecological four stroke engines plus a feisty two stroke version for the younger, fun-loving riding public, the Sportcity One offers the right solution for every need: a safe, comfortable, yet zippy ride in everyday traffic.

For the 4 stroke, careful engineering focused on combustion efficiency turned out a gritty, clean running engine offering impressive fuel economy. The focus was also on simple design, as a synonym for sturdiness. The engine features forced air cooling and a carburettor fuel system. Both engines come with a catalytic converter and comply with Euro 3 requirements.
Thanks to nearly 11 HP and smooth torque delivery, the Sportcity One 125 is at full ease on fast roads. Generous power delivery combined with lightweight enable the Sportcity One to easily exceed its 90 km/h top speed to blaze through traffic under any conditions with the utmost fuel economy.
Sportcity One 50 is the urban vehicle by definition. Its sporty engine offers sparing fuel consumption, running over 40 km on one litre of fuel, and a feisty character that - combined with lightweight - provides super fast acceleration. This 50 HP scooter is the perfect choice for those who wish to join the Sportcity family in style.

Sportcity One is now available in the Street version, too. A "cool" addition to the Sportcity range, this special version sports a 50 2 stroke engine that offers spirited response, a nimble ride and tons of acceleration.

Like the other models in the range, the two-stroke version of the Aprilia Sportcity One Street offers a dynamic, practical character - a scooter concept pioneered by Aprilia that has won over thousands of scooter lovers throughout Europe. The zippy two-stroke engine - with over 4 HP - makes the Street 50 2 stroke light and fast, and the excellent setup of the automatic transmission backs up the acceleration-loving attitude of the engine.

Blazing acceleration and nimbleness are the defining attributes of the Sportcity One 2 stroke, designed to tackle city traffic in full safety.

And that's not all - negligible consumption provides excellent range. Ideal for young riders with a penchant for style and fast-paced urban lifestyle who wish to join the Sportcity family.

Aprilia has prepared a broad range of accessories to complement the Sportcity One look and performance: Large full windshield (3mm); Sport full windshield; 32-litre New Concept top box, optional backrest, luggage rack, electronic alarm system.
