Honda will launch the next generation Integra in the 2nd quarter of this year. The Integra idea was to integrate motorcycle dynamics into a scooter platform. Behind it all was Honda’s development of the New Concept 3-bike platform. The Integra, the NC750S and NC750X are all part of the one family.
Now we see Honda improve the concept further. The changes on the previous model are fairly substantial and having tested the Integra when first launched, they all make perfect sense.
The Integra’s revised seating position will make life easier. The seat remains 790 mm from the ground but Honda has shaved 40 mm from the mid-section. This will allow an easier reach to the ground. There’s an extra 80 mm of leg room and the floor has been expanded for greater relaxation on longer rides. Underseat storage has also been improved.
The engines capacity has been given an extra 75 cc of capacity, an extra balance shaft has also been added. The power is up (40.3 Kw) and the torque output likewise. The Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) has been refined with new advanced software being used.
Everything else we know. Fantastic fuel consumption, motorcycle type handling, awesome ABS brakes, adjustable levers and that truly unique Dual Clutch Transmission.
Colours or pricing is yet to be announced. Europe gets two versions, the Integra 750 S or the Integra 750. I’m hoping we will see the S version. Sporty factory colour schemes that give it a little character - love the gold wheels. Or in standard trim, for 2014, it looks to be white or matt black.
